Andrew, our Managing Director, is the son of the former Managing Director and former owner, Mr Ronald Rushton.
In 1982 Andrew completed his degree in Chemistry & Business Studies at the University of Salford. In 1983 he joined the family business as a Sales Representative.
After a very successful 6 year period of being Sales Representative for J. Allcock & Sons, Andrew was promoted to Commercial Director in 1988.
By 1996, Mr Ronald Rushton had retired and his successor, Mr Bob Howard, was also retiring. In April 1996, Andrew was appointed as Managing Director, and is now the company’s longest serving MD.
During his time as Managing Director, Andrew has expanded J. Allcock & Sons product range and bought and incorporated Wellington Rubber Company Ltd.
Andrew helped to develop the Remould Devulcanisation System and set up Remould LTD.
He now uses his extensive knowledge to lecture on the recycling options available for rubber.
Adrian started work in the Tyre Rubber Recycling Industry in 1987 as a production operative at Rushden Granulating Co, Stockport, not long after the site and machinery were purchased from Dunlop. The plant took Truck Tyre Buffings and processed them into various crumbs.
He held various positions from Operative, Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager, Maintenance Manager and finally Works Manager.
In 2005 when the Managing Director retired, he was given the job of Works Manager where he worked with the customer base making sure that all their needs were met and working alongside them creating specific products to suit their production. He continued to oversee the quality side of the factory and to look after all the day-to-day needs of customers, suppliers and work force.
In 2015 after 28 years he was offered the opportunity to join Wellington Rubber Co, having known the Company and staff for many years, as Works Manager.
Since his arrival we have moved the company to larger premises, and more than quadrupled production, as we are constantly working hard to build our customer and supplier portfolio to maintain our status as the leading quality assured supplier of Recycled Tyre Tread Products in Europe. In 2016 Adrian was appointed as Works Director.
Keith joined the company in 2013 and his responsibilities include maintenance, production scheduling/planning, co-ordinating purchase and sales of raw materials, quality control, customer liaison and staff employment.
